| The
effect of drugs on the mind |
|
| The
vast majority of effects that most drugs generally have on the mind,
are not a direct result of the drug. Instead the placebo effect is responsible for most of the behavior, especially anti-social behavior, falsely attributed to drugs. The mind is responsible for perpetuating addiction both psychologically, and as regards so-called physical addiction. Physical addiction is the body giving an urge to satisfy the physical condition it is used to. If the person does not comprehend this, they will falsely attribute any type of rationalization to the drug. If their psychological needs are not satiated, the placebo effect reinforces the natural craving the body will have when any substance that it has got used to is withheld. This reinforcing effect is purely a result of not fully realizing the gulf that exists metaphysically between mind and body. It has been described as 'spiritual crisis'. Cold turkey is the worst solution for people living in a deficient psychological environment. It will accent the psychological needs even more. No substance is inherently harmful. The body can get used to anything. Even drinking too much water can kill you. If the amount taken is correct, it will not damage the body. And it can only alter the mind if the mind wants or needs to be altered. :~j |

15:11 It is not what goes into a persons mouth that defiles a man, but that which comes out of his mouth that defiles him. |
