| Even
if the most reductionist form of materialism is the intrinsic metaphysic
of the universe: Even if a person is merely a collection of electrons,
neutrinos and positrons, then
it is certain that such a being is immortal. Computers process data at exponentially faster speeds. The industrial economies of the world, result in ever increasing human intelligence, with less and less to do. Eventually people will be resurrecting their relatives, using hyper advanced genetically orientated supercomputers, even if it takes a thousand or a million years. And they in turn will resurrect their ancestors, until all who ever was, is with us again. The law of compound interest ensures immortality, even more so than if a personal God were to dictate events. :-j |
